Abstract Submissions

The Emirates General Surgery Society (EGSS) invites abstract submissions for presentation at our upcoming scientific meetings and conferences. We welcome contributions that reflect original research, innovative case studies, and best practices in surgical care across all subspecialties.

Submission Guidelines

Please carefully follow the below criteria when preparing your abstract:

  • Deadline: [Insert submission deadline]
  • Language: English only
  • Word Limit: Maximum of 300 words (excluding title and author details)
  • Title: Should be concise, descriptive, and written in sentence case
  • Authors: Include full names, affiliations, and contact details for the presenting author and all co-authors

Abstract Format:

  • Background & Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion
  • Tables & Figures: Not allowed within the abstract body (unless specified)
  • Originality: Submissions must not have been previously published or presented
  • Review Process: All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee. Selected abstracts may be invited for oral, video, or poster presentation, depending on the event format.
  • Presentation Types Available: Oral, Video (Posters if applicable for the event)
